VP Danesh praises Pakistan’s assistance to Afghanistan

KABUL: Second Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danesh hosted a reception for Pakistani delegation who came to Kabul for inauguration of Mohammad Ali Jinnah hospital, a statement from VP press office said yesterday.
The reception was attended by Pakistani state minister for parliamentary affairs Ali Mohammad Khan, Pakistani Ambassador Zahed Nasrullah Khan, Afghan minister of public health Ferozuddin Feroz, minister of refugees and repatriates Alemy Balkhi, a number of MPs, presidential advisors, deputy ministers and deputy chief of mission for Pakistan embassy in Kabul.
Welcoming Pakistani delegation, VP Danesh thanked Pakistan’s assistance to Afghanistan, in particular to Afghan refugees, country’s conomic and cultural cooperation as well as funding the construction of the hospital in west of Kabul, the statement added.
VP Danesh also stressed on enhancing bilateral ties and Pakistan’s support of the peace process in Afghanistan.
Thanking Afghans’ hospitality, Pakistani state minister for parliamentary affairs called people of the two countries as brothers, saying his country was believing that a peaceful Afghanistan would be in the interest of region.
He assured his country’s continued support to Afghanistan in different spheres, saying Pakistan would build hospital in Logar and healthcare center in Nangarhar, the statement added.
