KABUL: Second Vice-President Mohammad Sarwar Danesh met with the Kabul based Chinese Ambassador on Tuesday, his office said Tuesday.
Both sides spoke on various issues, including bilateral political, cultural and economic relations, as well as peace talks with the Taliban, the statement said.
According to the statement, the Chinese ambassador said that his country would prepare a three-year financial aids packages for the Afghans.
The Chinese ambassador also invited the vice-president to attend the International Environment Conference expected to be held in the near future, and called his tour to China a step towards the expansion of relation. The ambassador also said his country’s authorities have encouraged the Taliban delegation visiting China for joining an intra-Afghan dialogue, ceasefire and reaching a lasting peace in the country.
Thanking the Chinese ambassador for his good omen to invite him to the international environment and encouraging militants to join government led peace talks, the second-vice president called the government and the people of China good friends of Afghanistan and welcomed the position of the friendly country for its cooperation on peace negotiations development.
