The country’s second vice-president, Sarwar Danesh chaired the Cabinet Gender and Women Affairs Committee meeting discussing several Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) about the policy of safeguarding women in war and emergency, Bakhtar News Agency said the other day.
The meeting which was held at the Gulkhana Palace and attended by Delbar Nazari the minister of women affairs discussed issues about the activities made for women across the country’s provinces, with the minister sharing information about the past women related reports with the second-vice president, the agency said.
She said no tangible and satisfactory has been made for women in the provinces and results of the committee for women operational in the provinces were not prolific, according to the agency.
The vice-president said women related issues in the provinces should be assessed through the provincial women affairs departments as well as the provincial governors should be informed via the local organs office that no negligence should be made about the work development in the provincial gender committees.
