Traffic accident kills five in Zabul

ZABUL: Traffic accident has killed five people in south-western Zabul province.
The collision of a Fielder type vehicle with a tractor-trailer in Zabul province has killed five people and injured one more.
The incident occurred Saturday evening in the Noorak area of Qalat, the Zabul’s provincial capital, approximately 323 kilometers far from Kabul, the capital.
According to Zabul Provincial Director of Information and Culture, the victims and the injured were transported to a nearby hospital. He said that relatives of passengers killed in the incident were rushing at the hospital to claim their friends and families’ bodies. The cause of the accident remains unknown at this time.
In Afghanistan, violations of traffic laws, terrible highways, negligence, and the lack of traffic signs are considered as the main causes of road accidents, with people dying every day. The Kabul Times
