Those mistreating with health workers to be introduced to judicial organs, President Ghani

KABUL: Chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, a meeting was held yesterday with leading body of Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) to discuss modality of management the 3rd wave of coronavirus and government’s future measures in this regard. In the meeting, President Ghani said that 700,000 doses of coronavirus vaccine would soon arrive from China and necessary measures have been taken to provide enough oxygen from inside and outside of the country.
Pointing to the 3rd wave of COVID-19, President Ghani said all should feel responsible beside MoPH and the government’s leading body was ready for further coordination and cooperation in this regard. The country’s President said that the government was committed to protection of doctors’ prestige and dignity, stressing that those mistreating with health workers would be introduced to judicial organs. Afterwards, acting minister of public health assured of implementation of coronavirus plans, saying that a regular plan has been prepared to address shortage of oxygen in hospitals as a number of hospitals have been connected with central oxygen system and the rest would be soon connected. At the end of the meeting, President Ghani approved a range of suggestions of the MoPH and COVID-19 working committee on social limitations, instructing Kabul mayor and National Development Company to start work on projects to create daily work opportunities for people.
