Terrorists misusing Islamic principles to achieve their vicious goals: Dr. Abdulalh tells CMs

KABUL: Council of Ministers with Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah on the chair held session here yesterday morning.
Addressing the inauguration session Dr. Abdullah Abdullah praised Afghan National Defense and Security Forces’ (ANDSF) braveries and sacrifices in war on terror during the holy month of Ramadan, saying their families spending holy months without their beloved ones.
The Chief Executive said the country witnessed security incidents in the holy month of Ramadan and condemned the attack on Al-Taqwa mosque in Kabul which resulted to martyring of Mawlavi Raihan, saying that attack was against Islamic principles and the militants were using the holy religion to achieve their vicious goals.
Dr. Abdullah went on saying that attack on employees of Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs on Monday morning was a clear example of terrorists’ systemic crime that use Islam for their heinous agenda, adding Ulema has time again supported and defended the nation and the security forces.
CE Abdullah said government’s program after 1st of month of Jawza needed to be different and should not use any government means for election campaigning, rather all state resources should be allocated to address people’s urgent needs “There are some serious concerns among the presidential candidates and that are needed to be addressed.”
Hinting to recent allegations made against presidential palace on harassment of women and fraud in parliamentary elections, Dr. Abdullah said the matters needed to be independently investigated and women’s dignity and rights should be protected, as they have passed decades of struggles to have their role in political affairs of the country.
The council of ministers continued with reports of the security organs, report on balance of commerce by the ministry of commerce, report on administrative complex in Dar-u-laman area by the ministry of urban development and land, report of the ministry of public health on resolution for quality control of foodstuffs, potable water and beverages, report of the ministry of refugees and repatriates and other reports by the ministries and independent directorates.
