KABUL: Former Bamyan governor, Mohammad Tahir Zuhair has officially started work as acting and nominee Minister of Information and Culture on Monday.
Reading out the message of the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan relating to the appointment and introduction of the acting minister, Dr. Fazel Mahmoud Fazli, General Director of the Presidential Administrative Affairs said: “The Ministry of Information and Culture has responsibility heavier than than other administrations.”
Dr. Fazli wished success for him in his related affairs as acting MoIC minister.
Present at the ceremony, former MoIC acting minister, Hasina Safi also spoke on the occasion and said she had gained much experiences in cultural issues during her two years work as the acting minister and was ready to share with the Zuhair if needed.
On his turn, Mohammad Tahir Zuhair spoke and thanked the president for his trust to appoint him in the post.
“I spare no effort to do for the improvement of the situation of this ministry and am committed to bring positive changes in the cultural affairs and elevation of the country’s culture, in cooperation with my colleagues,” the newly appointed acting minister vowed.
