Security sector meeting stresses preventing civilian casualties

KABUL: Chaired by National Security Advisor Dr. Hamdullah Mohib, a meeting of security sector leading body was held yesterday to assess security situation in Herat, Balkh and Badakhshan.
In the session, incidents resulting in civilian casualties in Paktika’s Barmal district, Nangarhar’s Hesarak district, Kunduz and Laghman provinces were discussed and the investigation team was asked to finalize its assessments regarding civilian casualties and adopt necessary and practical measures in this regard.
Meanwhile, the meeting stressed on serious planning for prevention of civilian casualties and necessary instructions issued in this regard.
