KABUL: The Ittihad-ul-Ulama or the Union of the Religious Scholars in a gathering held in Turkiye, asked the religious scholars to play their role in recognition of the Islamic Emirate.
The Ulama Union asked the religious scholars to try their best to play key role in widening political, economic and cultural relation between the caretaker government led by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) and the Islamic countries.
Addressing the gathering of the religious scholars’ union, spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) Zabihullah Mujahid also touched on the girls’ education and said that work was underway to arrange principle and set up principles for the reopening of girls’ schools.
Representing the Islamic Emirate at the gathering of the Ittihad-ul-Ulama (Religious Scholars Union) in Turkiye, the Islamic Emirate spokesman said that schools for girls in Afghanistan are being held up for some reasons, including “setting up classrooms, a curriculum, and transportation services for girls.”
He said male students from first to the twelfth and girls of six grades were regularly going to their schools.
“But schools, for girls of seventh to the twelfth grades, are stopped, but not because we do not want education, we are preparing their principles, curriculum, educational places, and transportation,” said Mujahid.
This is because to make sure that people mentally allow their daughters to go to schools, that their hijab is observed and that what they learn is valid, because the past curriculum was made by America, according to the IEA spokesman.
“If that system is implemented in Afghanistan, ideas will change and they will be against the country,” he noted. The Kabul Times
