However, all the messengers who came before Prophet Muhammad were sent only for their peoples, and their message was only meant for a particular time period.
In Quran, Prophet Muhammad has been described to as Rahmatul- lil- Aalameen “mercy unto the worlds”. He is thus, a source of mercy for all human beings and not for Muslims alone. He often repeated “the best of you are those who have the best morals”

The period before the arrival of Holy Prophet in Arabian Peninsula was in a state of darkness and ignorance. The whole Peninsula was submerged in corruption, superstition, cruelty and vice. The people were in the abysmal depth of moral and spiritual degradation. When prophet left for his heavenly abode, by then the whole of Arab had become a model nation. With his extreme patience, he succeeded in making a drastic change in the minds of Arabs in such a short period of 23 years.
The Holy Prophet attracted the people towards the message of Allah and finally changed the social fabric of Arabs from war to peace, from hatred to love, from enmity to brotherhood. The Prophet Muhammad reiterated his commitment to the respect and the uplift the condition of women and completely abolished the shameful practice of burial of female infant. He not only talked of equality amongst all human being but was also always the first to practice it.
He set the standards of ethics which remain unsurpassed.
Prophet Muhammad is the most influential figure in human history and he must be one of the most mesmerizing men to walk on the face of the earth; He is remembered today as a messenger of God. Prophet Muhammad always encouraged the generous giving of alms. He said, he is not perfect Muslim who eats his fill and lets his neighbors go hungry.
The deeds and acts of Prophet Muhammad offer humanity a perfect example in all aspects of life. The message of Holy Prophet is not for one age or for one people but for all ages and all people and for all time to come.
