KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, on Sunday, chaired a meeting at the Presidential Palace, where he instructed the organs concerned for the rapidity implementation of the action plan of the urban development, Bakhtar News Agency reported Tuesday.
The country’s president after hearing reports from the ministers of transport, urban development and land and the Kabul Mayor, instructed that the action plan should be implemented on the urban development. “Urgent measures are needed in this respect.”
The president said the transit importance of Khost, Jalalabad, Herat, Kandahar and Mazar-e-Sharif should be taken in mind as according to him, each of them are the center of industry and export.
“Attention should be paid on the preservation of these ancient cities’ historical relics,” said the country’s president as quoted by the agency.
The president also instructed the ministry of interior police personnel to stop the overloaded tracks and deal with them legally to avoid destruction of the roads, the agency said.
