KABUL: The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, chairing the commander in-chief meeting on Saturday, asked the security institutions for tightening security of election, BNA reported the other day. The president also instructed the security organs for precise action for protecting civilians during their anti-militants’ operations, said the agency.
Security of the civil society, media, electoral monitors and other election related entities are also the responsibility of the security organs, the president said, adding the needs of the presidential candidates should be addressed as soon as possible, the agency quoted.
“The security organs have to show more flexibility during implementation of their security plans,” according to the agency.
The country’s president also instructed the security organs for remaining cautious during their anti-insurgents raids all over the areas, where militants have momentums, the agency said.
