KABUL: Speaking in a meeting with the leadership board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani called for setting an economy-oriented policy within the ministry, said a statement from the Presidential Press Office the other day. He said all executions in the ministry should be transparent, impartial and based on law, the statement quoted. “The frameworks and work areas the consulate directorate should be assessed, diplomatic and administrative affairs should be defined and distinguished and the working areas of the ambassadors, counselors and secretaries of foreign based Afghanistan embassies should be investigated,” said the statement quoting the country’s president.
Employment in the ministry of foreign affairs should be based on the laws, rules, drafts and national and international standards, the statement said.
