KABUL: A security meeting chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and the Commander-in-Chief of the Afghan Armed Forces was held yesterday evening via video conference, a statement said.
In the meeting, the officials of the Ministries of Defense, Interior and the National Directorate of Security first provided information on the general security situation in the country, the presidential palace statement added.
The President expressed his gratitude for the efforts and heroism of the country’s security and defense forces and emphasized the movement of forces from the districts to the center.
President Ghani also emphasized the need to treat the wounded and meet the needs of the personnel, and urged the authorities to pay more attention to the coordination between the security and defense agencies, according to statement,
The President and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces called the security of highways a priority for the forces and directed the officials of the security and defense institutions to create full cohesion in the security of highways.
