KABUL: In a meeting with security officials from Kabul city, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has asked the authorities to take effective steps for the improvement of security situation in capital, a statement from the presidential press office said on Friday.
Security officials briefed the president regarding their security plans, developments and rocket attack on Independence Day.
The president said dimensions of the rocket attack on Independence Day should be evaluated to know how militants were able to lunch the attack.
Referring to changes in Kabul City police stations, the president said: “I visited police stations, the situation is not acceptable to me and there is immediate need for administrative changes. Police chiefs should be more cautions to their duties,” he added.
President Ghani directed Kabul Police Chief to strictly and legally deal with individuals who stand against the law and create hurdles in the implementation of law.
