KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani held separate meetings with governors of Paktia, Paktika, Uruzgan and Samangan provinces and heard their reports on good governance and providing services to the people, here in his office yesterday, a statement from the presidential press office said.
During the meetings, Paktika governor Mujeeb ul Rahman Samkani, Paktia governor Shamim Khan Katawazi, Uruzgan governor Mohammad Shafiq Assadullah Sayed and Samangan governor Abdul Latif Ibrahimi briefed the president on their activities, implementation of projects and people’s demands, the statement added.
Thanking the governors, president Ghani said governors’ opinions and reports were important to improve security, economic and social situation of the provinces and asked them to share their opinions with the presidential palace.
The president also extended necessary instructions to the governors on implementation of the projects, providing of better public services and security of the respected provinces, the statement added.
