KABUL: President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with new US embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires to Afghanistan, Ross Wilson on Tuesday, Bakhtar News Agency reported. During the meeting which was held at the Presidential Palace, the country’s president wished success to the new US Chargé d’Affaires and emphasized for continuation of joint commitment for ensuring peace and development in Afghanistan, the agency said.
Both sides also spoke about Afghanistan economic self-sufficiency and reforms and called security and development the most important demand of the people of Afghanistan, according to the agency.
