President Ghani meets government peace delegation


KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with the delegation of governmental peace negotiators in Presidential Palace the other days, a statement said.
The statement further added that President Ghani shared guidelines and legitimate basic lines of the government regarding peace negotiations.
President Ghani said the guidelines have been prepared after vast consultations with the people over a period of at least eight months. According to presidential statement, the Second Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danish and Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah also spoke during the meeting and said the peace negotiators delegation is fully supported by the nation. The head of the presidential office Abdul Salam Rahimi, high peace council secretariat chief and senior presidential adviser Mohammad Omar Daudzai, and Dr. Farooq Wardak also thanked the President for the guidelines regarding reconciliation and vowed to put all their efforts in place to take the responsibility of peace process forward, the statement added.
