KABUL: The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, met with Shamsia Alizadah, who topped Afghanistan‘s university entrance exam (Kankur), and five other participants of this year’s entrance exam, who received high marks, respectively, the presidential press office said yesterday.
During the meeting, the President said, “On behalf of the government, I congratulate you on this great achievement. You are the future of Afghanistan and I hope you will make enough progress to become the President of Afghanistan.”
The President, as quoted in the statement, thanked them for their efforts and that their parents had brought them up, wishing that they could manage Afghanistan’s wealth with their powerful hands.
Addressing the participants, President Ghani said, “I see the fruits of the republic in you, and Shamsia Alizadah is a model for all Afghan girls.”
At the end of his speech, the President said that the Kankur Administration has become a transparent and trusted organization and has provided the ground for higher education to Afghan youth.
On the other hand, Shamsia Alizadah, the top scorer of this year’s entrance exam, on behalf of others, expressed her gratitude for the president’s encouragement and special attention to Afghanistan’s education system.
At the end of the meeting, President Ghani donated 100,000 Afghanis to each of the students.
