KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Saturday met prominent political leaders, inducing Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, second Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danesh, former President Hamid Karzai, High Peace Council Chief Mohammad Karim Khalili and Abdul Rab Rasul Sayyaf to consult with them on the Afghan peace process, the Presidential Palace said in a statement.
According to the statement, the political leaders shared their views on the engagement of all movements and all layers of society in the Afghan peace process. The consultations are aimed at changing various peace efforts into a unitized stance on peace talks, the statement said.
