KABUL: President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in a statement, the other day, extended his deep condolence to the family and friends of Gen. Mohammad Zahir Muqbil on his martyrdom in a roadside mine blast in the country’s southern province of Helmand.
Gen. Muqbil lost his life and two troops and one journalists working for a private TV wounded, when their convoy hit a mine allegedly planted by the Taliban militants in an area in the province.
“Terrorists with their coward attacks will never damage the country’s security forces will in war on terror and defending republicanism and national values,” the statement said.
The president whished paradise to his soul and great patience to his family and friends.
