President Ghani assures of government cooperation with money exchangers

KABUL: President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in a meeting the head and members of the countrywide money exchangers council, at the Charchenar Palace, assured them of government cooperation, a statement from the Presidential Palace said Sunday. The president said he had instructed the provincial governors, via video conference, to take security of all money exchangers in the province, as they have to continue with their work, otherwise the country’s economic cycle will not move. At the meeting which was attended by the First Vice President Amrullah Saleh, Mohammad Yousuf Ghazanfar and Al Haj Mir Afghan Safi, the president’s special envoy for economic and trade expansion and reduction of poverty and the head of the countrywide money exchangers council, Saleh also spoke about the issue and said: “We are doing our best for part of the government to be in your service and that a person would be introduced to remain in continued contact with you.” He said the building of former ministry of communication would be reconstructed to be used by the money exchangers.
