PPS officer killed, another wounded in Kabul gunmen attack

KABUL: One Presidential Protective Service Officer was killed and another wounded, following a gunmen attack west of the country’s capital Kabul, an official said Saturday.
The incident happened at about 8:20 Friday night, when unknown gunmen opened fire on two Afghan PPS officers, killing Qeyamuddin Maqsudi and wounding another in Paghman vicinity west of Kabul, Marwa Amini, the deputy spokesperson for the ministry of interior told media.
No one has so far claimed responsibility for the killing but police launched investigation into the incident, she said.
In late July 2019, a senior PPS officer Gen. Abdul Ghaffar died days after sustain serious injuries in a roadside mine took place in Qala-e-Zaman Khan area of the capital.
