KABUL: The Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) day was marked during a ceremony in Parwan’s Police Training Center, where officials honored the members of Afghan national army, national police and national directorate of security forces in the province with gifting flowers and distribution of appreciation certificates. The conference was held with the participation of the provincial leadership, chairman and members of the provincial council, generals, officers and soldiers of the security forces, government departments, districts elders, scholars, women and youth from central and Parwan districts.
Addressing the ceremony, Parwan governor Lt. General Fazluddin Ayar congratulated the day to all Afghan soldiers and nation and recalled dedication and devotion of the forces.
Parwan governor added that the country’s security and defense forces bravely fought against the great invaders in different periods of history and defended the territorial integrity with full commitments.
The governor of Parwan said: “Supporting the security and defense forces is in fact a tribute to the bravery and heroism of our brave soldiers. Our people are proud of them and strongly supporting them.”
It is undoubtedly the security forces in the country have shed their blood to provide the people with the opportunity to implement development projects, rule of law and good governance, the governor added. Reiterating people’s support to ANDSF, the provincial council head Ghulam Bahauddin Jilani said people must stand with their security and defense forces in order to facilitate the peace and stability in the country.
Meanwhile a number of speakers from ANDSF ranks, civil society activists, media representatives and local people drum up support to the Afghan forces, calling them the real guardians of Afghanistan.
