KABUL: Acting minister of information and culture Hasina Safi in a ceremony held yesterday on the occasion of marking the ‘Constitution Week’ said the country’s constitution was headline of the system and its observance was national duty of all Afghans.
In the ceremony held with participation of deputy ministers, advisors, officials and employees of information and culture, acting minister of information and culture by pointing to 16th, 34th, 47th and 22nd articles of the country’s constitution said ministry of information and culture has tasked a commission to work for strengthening and development of languages spoken in the country so that a comprehensive plan would be processed for development and strengthening of all languages spoken in the country.
Regarding to 34th article of the constitution, acting minister of information and culture said the constitution has guaranteed freedom of expression.
Touching also on 22nd article of the country’s constitution, acting minister of information and culture said that based on the article, any kind of discrimination and distinction between citizens of Afghanistan were be forbidden and all citizens of Afghanistan, man and woman, have equal rights and duties before the law, asking all to make effort towards observing and respecting all contents of the constitution in various fields relating to life affairs.
Meanwhile, deputy minister of art and culture for information and culture Prof. Mohammad Rasoul Bawary spoke and said there were no problems in laws but in their implementation.
