After reviewing the security situation of a number of provinces, the National Security Council (NSC) said that further efforts should be made to improve Kabul’s security situation and collect the vehicles without driving documents.
During a security sector session, the National Security Council Advisor Dr. Hamdullah Muhib discussed security situation of different provinces particularly Kabul and assured that the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) are fully ready to ensure security.
Lauding the security forces efforts and sacrifices on ensuring security and curbing enemy’s attacks, he added that immediate steps should be taken to collect illegal weapons and the vehicles without driving licenses.
At the same time, senate asks the government to come up with a security strategy, based on which security is fundamentally ensured throughout the country.
A senator Azimi believes that with the arrival of spring season, terrorists from different countries would gather together and it would be a serious threat to the people of Afghanistan once more, thus, security entities particularly NSC should take necessary measures in this regard.
He added I ask the government to have comprehensive plans to ensure security of provinces particularly the Kabul city, because, existence of illegals weapons and irresponsible gunmen have been problematic in the center and other provinces.
Senate deputy speaker Ezedyar says that there won’t be anything by the name of national interests if there is not security.
He added that Afghan security forces are now more equipped then before and their efforts on improving security forces can rise people’s hope.
At the same time, a number of citizens say that the people of Afghanistan has a national unity government now and they expect the security entities to be fully prepared to ensure security across the country and arrange their all plans in coordination with each other.
A political expert Muzhda Jamalzada said that the national unity government should prioritize enruing security and don’t let the insurgents to target our innocent people.
He added the insurgents should know that they would be targeted if they target innocent people.
A veteran Rahmatullah Ehsan says that I expect the international community to pay serious heed in equipping the Afghan security forces and help them intensify airstrikes on insurgent groups.
Security entities reported that our continued operations are ongoing in all areas where there are threats to the government.
This is while that Afghanistan enjoys strong security entities that have professionally been trained to defend their countrymen and homeland.
