KABUL: National Security Advisor Dr. Hamdullah Mohib has assured that effective measures had been taken for insuring security in two of the country’s big cities of Balkh in the north and Herat in the west, Bakhtar News Agency reported the other day. In a meeting attended by a number of representatives from Balkh and Herat provinces at the House of People, the country’s National Security Advisor said that a series of measures have been taken to restore security in Balkh and Herat provinces. “In general in the north and west, efforts have been done for security of the provinces.” The representatives of the two provinces praised what they said better measures in the field security, creation of coordination and reduction of civilian death and asked for continuation of such activities in this respect, the agency quoted. The country’s national Security Advisor thanked the Wolesi Jirga for taking the problems of the people to the officials and cooperates with the security authorities in this field.
He also asked the people representatives at the house of people to work together with the security institutions for strengthening security in the country.
