KABUL: Based on suggestion of Ministry of Information and Culture (MoIC) and Independent Administrative Reforms and Civil Services Commission (IARCSC) and approval of the country’s President, Najibullah Shinwari has been appointed as director of Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) and was introduced yesterday to employees of the agency.
Shinwari has been recently appointed through merit-based process. In a ceremony held on this occasion with participation of deputy minister of information and culture Sayeda Mojgan Mustafavi, a number of directors and employees of the ministry, director of the ministry’s human resources Ahmad Zia Anwari read out President Ghani’s verdict in connection with the appointment of Najibullah Shinwari as director of BNA.
Afterwards, deputy minister of the information and culture Sayeda Mojgan Mustafavi congratulated the appointment of BNA’s new director to employees of the agency and praised former director of the agency for their works.
Mostafavi stressed that BNA was expected to further shine in reporting the forthcoming incidents and wished the newly-appointed director of the agency further success.
Meanwhile, the newly-appointed director of Bakhtar News Agency spoke related to position of the agency, saying that BNA was not only the first news agency in the country but it was considered as one of the oldest and key news agencies in the region. He promised to make further efforts to develop and expand BNA with close cooperation of the agency’s employees.
