MoPH reports 60 new cases of COVID-19 in Afghanistan

KABUL: Sixty new positive Covid-19 cases detected in different parts of the country over the last 24 hours, taking the nation’s overall tally to 35,289, The Ministry of Public Heallth (MoPH) said on Saturday.
Nearly one hundred suspected people conducted their tests during the period and 60 of them were diagnosed with the coronavirus talking the total number of Covid-19 patents to 35,289 nation-wide.
Kabul recorded 55 new cases while Kandahar saw two more infections. At least two fresh cases were registered in Nimroz and one in Helmand provinces.
Seventeen people lost their lives to the pandemic and 72 others recovered from it in the past 24 hours. The number of deaths thus reached 1164. As many as 23,280 people have recovered from the disease so far.
The Ministry of Public Health has called on people to follow health guidelines to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
