KABUL: Leading body of the Ministry of Information and Culture (MoIC) in a message has expressed sadness over the demise of the country’s cultural figure Faiz Mohammad Khairzada.
The deceased Faiz Mohammad Khairzada, who was director, cinema artist, translator and one of pioneers of changing of theater in Afghanistan, graduated from Habibia High School and studied philosophy and theater in New Jersey and New York and was appointed as an employee in independent directorate of media in 1958 and opened a new chapter in the country’s theater and cinema.
He soon gathered a number of young faces working in theater, cinema and music and established a theater institution in Kabul where a large number started working in the respective fields and got famed. For example, Oqab feature film, which was written by the deceased Khairzada, was one of the productions of the respective institution.
The deceased Faiz Mohammad Khairzada spent four decades of his life in USA and passed away last Wednesday at the age of 85 years.
Therefore, leading body of the ministry of information and culture in the message by appreciating the deceased Khairzada for his works and services in enrichment and development of the country’s theater and cinema considered his death as a big loss to the art field of the country and wished paradise to the deceased and patience to his family and the art fans of the country.
