MoIC making effort to improve tourism industry, Minister Safi

KABUL: In a meeting held on Wednesday, Acting Minister of Information and Culture Hasina Safi reviewed different departments’ affairs such as research and tourism development and marketing department and tourism affairs’ management department, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported.
According to the agency, attended by deputy minister of information and culture on finance, administrative and tourism affairs Sayeda Mojgan Mostafavi, the participants briefed about their works particularly on tourism national draft policy, tourism strategy draft plan, tourism draft law, tourism national committee’s draft procedure and tourism institute’s statute which have been prepared by the relevant departments.
The meeting also discussed establishing a hall with necessary equipment in research and tourism development and marketing department’s building, BNA added.
Acting Minister Safi stressed that the hall will be used for holding scientific, research and cultural programs being organized by concerned organs.
After hearing the mentioned departments’ functions, Acting Minister Safi stressed that all steps should be taken in coordination with the ministry’s relevant administrations.
She added efforts should be made to seek a way to improve and grow tourism industry.
