KABUL: Herat lost its local singer Ustad Mohammad Qasim Masroor. Leading body of the Ministry of Information and Culture (MoIC) in a statement has considered the demise of the local singer of Herat as big loss to the art of music and offered condolence to the deceased family and art society of the country.
The deceased Ustad Mohammad Qasim Masroor son of Mullah Mohammad was born in 1942 in Guzra district of Herat. Besides singing and music, the deceased Masroor worked in theater and cinema and played role in shows along with Mohammad Ghaws Askarzada, Farhat Herawi, Mohammad Sediq Bulbul, Nimatullah Hussainzada and others. He also sang lots of local songs.
