MoIC aims to protect historical monuments, Prof. Bawary

KABUL: Deputy minister of culture and art for information and culture Prof. Mohammad Rasoul Bawary met with UNESCO delegation and discussed workshop determined to be held next week.
In the meeting, Prof. Bawary said that the only goal of the ministry of information and culture was to achieve an approach based on which historical monuments could be protected in areas where war was ongoing.
He asserted that the workshop would definitely meet the goal.
The workshop which will be held next week in cooperation with UNESCO is part of steps taken by ministry of information and culture to find a way for protection of the country’s historic monuments in areas caused by increasing insecurities.
It is determined that the workshop is attended by authorized representatives of MoI, MoD, MoJ and NDS.
