KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has briefed Kabul-based foreign diplomats about the recently concluded five-day Consultative Loya Jirga, a MoFA statement said.
The historic peace summit ended on Friday with 3200 delegates from across Afghanistan demanding an immediate and permanent ceasefire.
The Foreign Ministry in a statement on Monday said foreign diplomats based in Kabul were briefed and provided information about the decisions of the Loya Jirga.
The briefing was presided over by acting minister and deputy foreign minister for political affairs Idrees Zaman.
High Peace Council secretary and Loya Jirga convention commission chief Omar Daudzai was also present on the occasion.
Zaman provided detailed information to the foreign diplomats about the Loya Jirga’s significance, participants and decisions. Questions posed by the diplomats were also answered, the statement said.
