Minister Zuhair stresses importance of cultural cooperation with Turkey

KABUL: Mohammad Tahir Zuhair, Acting Minister of Information and Culture, the other day, met with Turkish Consul General Sinan Elhan and Dr. Ali Arghavsn Chenar, Head of the TIKA Institute for Herat province, Bakhtar Information Agency reported.
In this meeting, which was held at the Herat Provincial Directorate of Information and Culture, the acting minister praised the cooperation of TIKA Institute in the reconstruction of Herat Mosque and its museum, Amir Ali Shirnavai Tomb, Shaikh Amavia abbey, Herat Guzargah Tourist Center, Imam Fakhr-e-Razi Tomb and Allamah Salahuddin Saljuqi Hall and emphasized the expansion of the country’s cultural cooperation with Afghanistan.
The Turkish Consul General and the head of Turkish TIKA Institute in Herat also assured of their country’s continued cooperation in cultural area with Afghanistan.
During the meeting, Mohammad Tahir Zuhair presented a plaque of appreciation to the head of the TIKA section in Herat for his cooperation in the restoration of the province’s historic waterways, and also presented the Turkish Consul General with a calligraphically painted piece of Amir Ali Shirnawai’s poem.
