KABUL: Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Hasina Safi, met Deputy Chief of Mission and Councilor of Egyptian embassy here yesterday and both sides discussed strengthening bilateral cultural relations, Bakhtar News Agency reported.
The Egyptian embassy councilor said an archeological delegation to visit Kabul and to train the Afghan archeologists for two weeks, adding four Afghan archeologists have also been invited to visit Egypt, the agency quoted him as saying.
He also briefed the acting minister on Arabic language training program held for the employees of the ministry of information and culture for near one year, adding his country was ready to extend the program for the ministry.
Praising Egyptian embassy’s support and holding of the Arabic language program for the employees of the ministry, Minister Safi emphasized on further expansion of the bilateral cultural relations between the two countries, the agency added.
At the end, deputy minister of Culture and Art, Prof. Rasul Bawary handed over an appreciation certificate to Dr. Ibrahim Kamel, lecturer of Al-Azhar university for training of the Arabic language to the ministry’s employees.
