KABUL: Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Hasina Safi, met with a number of elders and influential figures of Ghazni province here in her office yesterday, Bakhtar News Agency reported.
Representing others, Amanullah Kamrani deputy head of provincial council and Abdul Jami Jami provincial council member of Ghazni province shared a number of their problems, including attention to historical monuments, restoration of Begum minaret, enrichment of the provincial library, attention to local museum, establishment of Islamic center and holding of a seminar on Mullah Moshk Alam works and life, the agency added.
They also asked Ministry of Information and Culture’s cooperation in orgazning of cultural programs in the province, according to the agency.
Calling Ghazni as one of the prestigious provinces of the country, Acting Minister of Information and Culture said attention to the country’s identity was the main priority of the ministry, the agency quoted her as saying.
Minister Safi asked Ghazni elders and people’s representatives to submit a hand-written copy of their demands and problems to the ministry, calling people’s role important in preservation of the historical monuments and cultural heritage of the country, the agency added.
