KABUL: Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Hasina Safi, during a meeting with Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture called culture as the main index for developing of the bilateral cultural relations, Bakhtar News Agency reported on Friday.
Minister Safi emphasized on signing of Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) in areas of Culture, Tourism, Art and Publications, saying the MoUs would ease education of youth in aforesaid fields, the agency added.
Briefing about the scholarships and training programs being provided for Afghansitan, the Indonesian Minister said education has been provided for Afghan youth for near two decades, adding the process would be continued.
Hinting to enrichment of the libraries of the two countries’ universities, the Indonesian Minister emphasized on creation of ministerial-level cultural framework to discuss cultural related issues in the region, according to the agency.
Meanwhile Minister Safi called the enrichment of libraries of the two countries as of immense important, adding Afghanistan moving towards development after decades of war and called holding of such meetings crucial for strengthening of the bilateral ties.
The acting minister of information and culture said Afghanistan and Indonesia were celebrating 66 years of friendship ties, adding different cultural programs have been considered by the culturists and artists of the two countries. She also praised Indonesia’s assistance to Afghanistan, the agency added.
