Meeting held for tightening Kabul security

KABUL: A meeting was held with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on the chair, discussing security of the capital Kabul, a statement from the Presidential Palace said Tuesday. Security officials of Kabul shared reports about their works and plans on the capital and its entire districts security with the president, according to the agency.
Meantime, the country’s president said prosecution and arresting of terrorist and kidnapping networks and other criminal bands should be at the priority of the security organs, the statement quoted.
The President instructed Kabul security officials to arrest illegal armed groups and those disturbing security of the capital as soon as possible and assure the Kabul citizens of their security at the threshold of Eid-al-Fitr, said the statement.
