Meeting discusses projects’ execution in Faryab province

KABUL: Following security meetings on Faryab province, a meeting chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani held on implementation of development projects in that province, the Presidential Palace said in a statement Tuesday.
During the meeting, Faryab governor Naqibullah Fayeq reported about his province’s power projects, 100-bed hospitals and Andkhoy water supply project, according to the statement.
He added Faryab people have been waiting for projects’ completion since long so they can benefit from them.
After hearing the mentioned report, thanking Faryab governor for his management, the president instructed the relevant ministries to execute 1397 solar year’s projects in the province.
Likewise, the president instructed the ministries of finance and public health to complete the structure of Obs and Gynae hospital in Faryab and provide equipment along with five ambulances for the province’s 100-bed hospital.
Furthermore, the president tasked the ministry of energy and water to tackle technical problems of Almar Dam at its earliest, adding 100 millions of Afghani that has been considered for Faryab projects would be spent.
The president also instructed the ministry of information and culture to pay heed in term of preservation of Faryab historical and cultural monuments.
President Ghani issued necessary instructions on transport terminal, Aqina custom house, livestock and construction of roads in Faryab province.
