KABUL: The leadership meeting of the government chaired by the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, was held on Sunday evening through a video conference, a statement said.
In this meeting, Mohammad Javad Paikar, acting minister of the Ministry of Urban Development and Lands, first presented a plan for 50 investment packages aimed at making better use of government property and land and providing investment opportunities for the private sector, the presidential press office statement added.
After comprehensive discussions on the plan, the government leadership instructed the Ministries of Urban Development and Land, Industry and Trade, and the National Procurement Authority as well as Kabul Municipality to reconsider the plan and prepare a comprehensive one.
It was also emphasized that the plan focused on the Hamid Karzai International Airport and the Dar al-Aman roads should be presented to the government’s leadership meeting as soon as possible via the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs of the President.
