In ceremony held on this occasion in Saudi Arabia’s embassy to Kabul last week on Monday, deputy ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia said that his country was committed to continued humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan.
In an interview with The Kabul Times correspondent, a resident of Kabul Mujibullah, who received the feeding basket expressed happiness, saying that his economic situation was so bad as it was so difficult to find bread for the family due to increasing unemployment and poverty in the country. Mujibullah, who’s also disable, asked the international community particularly the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for providing the miserable and needy families with such feeding baskets. It is worth mentioning that the feeding basket program is implemented by Tawhid Welfare Organization for Afghanistan Orphans (TWOAO) in seven provinces of the country. Since the start of the program, nearly 3,000 miserable and needy families have received feeding baskets in various parts of Kabul. Meanwhile, the international community and many other countries including Pakistan, India, Turkey, Turkmenistan and other regional and world countries have provided Afghanistan with humanitarian assistance.
