India hands over hydroxychloroquine, paracetamol tablets to Afghanistan


KABUL: Indian to Afghanistan, Vinay Kumar handed over the consignments of 300,000 tablets of hydroxychloroquine and 70,000 paracetamol tablets to Minister of Public Health, Dr. Ferozuddin Feroz here yesterday in Kabul.

According to Indian Embassy press release received by The Kabul Times, the public health minister thanked India for its humanitarian assistance in the hours of need, recalling India’s extensive support to Afghanistan in health sector, including by construction of hundreds of health centers, support to the Indira Gandhi children hospital and supplies of equipment and medicines.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Vinay Kumar, also handed over the consignments of hydroxychloroquine and paracetamol tablets to acting Minister of Defense, Asadullah Khalid yesterday.

Minister of Defense, Asadullah Khalid thanked India for this valuable gift during these difficult days of CoVID-19 pandemic, the press release concluded as saying.

India has gifted 500,000 tablets of hydroxychloroquine and 100,000 tablets for the Afghan people.
