Govt. departments indebted Afs 8 b to Breshna Sherkat

Director of Breshna Sherkat Amanullah Ghalib said that out of this amount over Afs 2 billion belong to security bodies.
Addressing the 8th annual meeting of Breshna Sherkat heads of branches, Ghalib added this year, the dept of public bodies has added Afs 6 billion. These bodies include security departments, parliament, government hotels and others.
Director of Breshna Sherkat said that beside these, people and private companies are also indebted over Afs 2 billion and the total dues of this company amounts to over 10 or Afs 11 billion.
Ghalib pointed out that Breshna has supplied power energy to military branches in the last one or two years and power supply to these branches has caused decrease in their expenditures beside reduction of air pollution.
Talking on the Breshna Sherkat projects, Ghalib went on to say in 1398 solar year, 43 projects were in progress with a total cost of US $ 800 million. We can point out as our achievement connecting of Panjsher and Khost provinces to Afghanistan National Power Network and now people of these two provinces are benefiting power energy.
He added, in current year, Breshna Sherkat has supplied power energy to over new 75000 customers that was the reason behind power cuts.
Ghalib emphasized that in current year 35 security incidents happened against employees of Breshna Sherkat in different provinces and damage it at the cost of Afs 8-9 billion.
The officials of Breshna Sherkat have said that 96 pc of Breshna Sherkat budget have been spent in 1398 which is a good news. All systems of this Sherkat in the field of human resources have been connected to a modern system. GPRS systems have been installed in vehicles of Breshna Sherkat in Kabul and Nangarhar provinces to reduce their fuel consumption.
In their conversations with The Kabul Times reporter, the residents of Kabul said that their power consumption bill, are regularly collected by Breshna Sherkat and no one disobey this system. Only few powerful and law breakers violate.
If the indeptors pay their dues on monthly or quarterly bases to Breshna Sherkat, there will be no power cut in Kabul.
According to people, despite of enjoying rich waters, Afghanistan imports power in high costs.
