KABUL: Foreign Minister Mohammad Haneef Atmar met with Deputy Foreign Minister for Multilateral and Global Affairs of Republic of Korea, Sang-wook Ham at the Story Palace here yesterday.
FM Atmar appreciated the generous assistance of the Republic of Korea in various political, economic, educational and cultural fields over the past two decades and stressed the importance of continuing this support in the post-withdrawal period in order to preserve the common values and achievements of the last twenty years, the MoFA statement added.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea reassured his country’s support for the Afghan peace process and the establishment of lasting peace, while maintaining the human rights achievements of the past two decades, according to the statement.
Both sides also discussed how to further coordinate and co-operate in the United Nations and other international organizations, the statement added.
