An employee of Afghanistan’s Electoral Complaints Commission was shot dead in western Herat province on Saturday.
Jelani Farhad, a spokesman for provincial governor, said that the person was killed near the provincial of office of ECC.
He said that the motive behind the killing was unclear.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
Afghanistan held presidential election on September 28, but results have not be announced yet.
