ABA’s Board of Directors Meeting was held

The Afghanistan Banks Association (ABA) convened a meeting of its Board of Directors on 14 September 2025. The meeting focused on key issues including strengthening Afghanistan’s payment system, expanding digital financial services, and enhancing the infrastructure for digital banking.
With the rapid expansion of digital banking services, customers are now able to conveniently and transparently carry out various transactions such as electricity bill payments, salary disbursements, mobile top-ups, online purchases, and payment of service fees through digital banking platforms.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Board of Directors consolidated its recommendations and requested the ABA Executive Director to share these with Da Afghanistan Bank in order to facilitate the necessary follow-up actions.
