KABUL: The Deputy Minister of Information and Culture on Publication Affairs, Abdul Manan Shivay-e-Sharq has stressed on the prioritization of print publications, peculiarly publishing books, BNA reported the other day.
In a meeting with the Book Publishers Union members, the deputy minister said that work was underway to bring reforms in the entire publication areas, the agency said. “Creation of Baihaqi Book Selling agencies in the provinces is also part of the program,” said the agency. Later, Ustad Sayeed head of the Book Publishers Union spoke about the publishers’ problems and criticized the type of taxpaying. “Suitable book selling market, appropriate book publishing and tax were among the problems, the publishers are facing with,” said the union head.
