Deadly blast hits mosque in Khost province

KHOST CITY: At least 10 people were reportedly martyred, and 25 others sustained injuries following a blast inside a mosque in eastern Khost province on Friday, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported. 
According to reports, the explosion targeted members of the 2nd regiment of the Afghan national army, as they held their Friday prayers inside a military base. 
Condemning this un-Islamic and anti-human act in the strongest possible terms, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani tasked the relevant in-charges to investigate how the attack took place and to punish those committed negligence in the respect.
Likewise, the president ordered Khost officials and other relevant in-charges to use their all possibilities to treat those injured, adding martyrs’ families should be urgently addressed.
Extending his condolences to the victims’ families, the president wished immediate recovery to those injured.
