CMs discusses variety of issues

KABUL: Chaired by Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the Council of Ministers (CMs) held session on Monday, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported.
At the beginning, condemning Kabul’s recent suicide attack, CE Abdullah said the terrorists had once again martyred and injured a number of our innocent countrymen and security forces. He expressed condolences with the martyrs’ families and wished immediate recovery to those inured, the agency further said.
Pointing at NATO leaders’ summit, Dr. Abdullah said in fact, NATO conference held in Brussels had been a confirm on Afghan security forces’ capabilities, BNA added.
He added we laud the Afghan security forces’ effort in defending the country.
At the same time, he said that there were security threats existed, but we ask for people’s close cooperation with security forces to prevent occurring such incidents in the future, the agency went on to say.
Welcoming First Vice President Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum’s return, CE Abdullah said we hoped national unity basis to be tightened and peace and stability are prevailed throughout the country.
Dr. Abdullah praised holding successful meeting of Joint Coordination and Monitoring Board (JCMB)and said the conference discussed world and Afghan government’s commitments, achievements, improvements and challenges before execution of commitments.
He clarified it is a positive step that helps us in going to Geneva Conference, but it would further make the government and cabinet members responsible in terms of good governance, fighting corruption, rule of law, encouraging private sector, holding transparent and fair elections and peace talks.
Therefore, the CMs members and government officials are asked to further pay heed in the respect, CE Abdullah said.
Dr. Abdullah said yesterday (on Sunday), the national unity government leadership had a meeting with international partners and Independent Elections Commission (IEC) members, during which IEC has been asked to clarify the presidential elections date. He added the people of Afghanistan expect an election free of frauds and problems, BNA continued.
According to the agenda, CE’s second deputy briefed the session about his trip to China.
Likewise, the security officials and minister of economy presented information about security situation andevaluation of capacity-building program within the Natural Disasters Management Authority (NDMA).
The economy minister also briefed the session about Darul Aman Administrative Complex, adding the master plan for 1st phase has been completed and practical works would start at the beginning of 2019.
Furthermore, head of air aviation administration presented information about construction of airports.
At the end, CE Abdullah issued necessary instructions to the relevant administrations. The Kabul Times
